BUBBLE GUM IN THE YEAR 3030

In the archeological mining of 10,000-year-old garbage dumps, where the goo of decomposed plastic creates a thick layer of tar, the aliens will be looking for a special remnant of the past. An archeological oddity that they wear around their necks for its peculiar imprint of teeth. The fossil of these imprints of the ancient bipedal mammal’s tooth, are coveted and traded intergalactically like the shark teeth necklaces of today. Everything, even plastic, decomposes, but chewing gum that we masticate on for minutes then throw out, lasts forever – until the sun blows up and it becomes bubble gum space dust. Perhaps one day, these white blobs will be sold for a high price because of their historical record of the humanoids that once occupied this planet.
