Take Back the Holidays from the Candy Industry

Isn’t it interesting to see how the candy industry has taken over all the holidays having to do with children and harvest? Wouldn’t you think we would want to teach our children about food and honoring the earth for its bounty? The packaged sugar industry has got it wrapped up tight and we have all been programed to think this is what the holiday entails, the only way to have fun- find the candy. Break out of this rigid thinking; put on a block party with candles as light, pass out dried fruit, do theater skits in the woods, or come up with some other activity - anything but remaining stuck in candy-land.
