Split Reality
These are sobering times. What paradigm is going to rule is being decided now. In this civil war of information, it is so easy to say that the other side is ‘stupid’, but the other side thinks the same thing. It is really a matter of what news you are watching and if you are getting information off of social media.
Social Media runs on algorithms that reinforce whatever your interest is. So, if you like scary clowns and vampires for president, the information you find will support that. We are in the middle of a mental war that will decide what is reality.
Clearly that whatever is in our heads manifest into the world we live in. This is a fantastic power but also scary when you enter into another person’s mind-field. Their reality can be overwhelming, and your personal thoughts and values can be altered by just being surrounded by counter beliefs.

It is also interesting to see that the paradigm of racist, sexist, gun-toting capitalism is strangely entwined with Christian religion. How did these things get all bundled together into the religious right? Seems like Christ would be rolling in his grave (or cloud) to see what has been done in his name. The real Christ was an African Jew that was influenced by the touring monks of Buddhism. He was a Hippie. But that reality is too much for some people.
How can we clean up the mental garbage of other people’s minds? That is a tricky question especially if people don’t want to have their viewpoints altered. In some ways it is the work of Karma to educate the ignorant. The way of Karma is a hard road, whatever wrong you do to others at some point in this life or the next, you will be standing in those shoes. The violent police are creating their own victimization… and so the karmic wheel turns on and on.
Let’s look at how the conservatives see the world. Part of changing things is understanding how the other side views the situation.
This image in something to consider. Being open minded to constructive criticism is being a woke person. Electric cars may not be the ultimate answer and just because we drive one doesn’t mean we are not polluting.
So the conservatives don’t like public lands, women’s right to choose, and minority rights. Police state and shooting people or animals is a world they want.
This is funny because the things listed under Biden are all what is happening now under Trump - except the socialism.
Just switch the words and you have the liberal view point.
These are simple memes that show how the conservative population views the present political situation. The abundant lies from Trump have been twisted around to be the lies of the media. It is a complex old riddle of two people - one is a liar and one is telling the truth. When you ask them who lies they point to the other. When you ask who is telling the truth they point to themselves….Humm.
It is interesting that they view socialism as an enemy of the state. They have no idea that much of Europe and Canada is socialized and how that works well for them or that schools, health care, and fire department are all socialized facilities. Again it is sticky ignorance that is difficult to dispel. People see a simple meme and thats all they need to know. The rich and powerful know how to use their money effectively to keep their power and they use it well, to control information and media. They have blanketed the society with information to vilify any idea counter to capitalist system where they hold all the cards.
Righteous platform of the conservatives is easily expressed because it is narrow and rigid. It is harder to express the platform of the liberals- it is broader and more inclusive, but for a Hippie we just go way out there, but our viewpoints influence the middle ground liberals. Bernie Sanders didn’t win but he broadened the platform of the left.
HOW THE RIGHT SEES THE LEFT
But this does look like a friend of mine. She is sure fun to be with but I can see how a really straight person would be a little freaked out. Hippies just have a sense of humor, have fun, and like to push the boundaries. This makes conservatives really uncomfortable. They just want to give us a good spanking. That will straighten us out.
It is going to be scary to see what happens after November’s election. I doubt that the Trumpites are going to just disappear. Brace yourself for the most unsavory behavior. And if Trump steals the election somehow, there will be a civil war. We are on the verge of it now. Physical revolution is a hard road. History has shown that after a chaotic time, it usually ends up badly, with people wanting stability so they get a dictator. We have a good governmental system that has within it the power to change, we just need to put the right people in there to run it. The power of our vote may be questionable with the electoral college tweaking it, but it is the least violent means for change, and we must use it to push for a sane future.
