Vote For the Moon

It’s full right now

Go out and look

Its silver light

Cools us down

from hot anger at injustice.

burning fear for our future,

or contempt for the human race.

Because as a warrior

we will be weakened by these,

our stance unsteady,

 our minds’ racing.

To face such uncertain times

We must be cool,

centered in the moment,

and trust our realities.

The moon, she is there

always there in her magnificent body

and we in ours.

Whether we believe in a god or not,

this unbreakable grace,

in this, I trust
