FASCISM AND FRUIT FLIES

When we try to control everyone, we teeter on fascism. With this pressure from the Delta variant, we are getting strong messages from every news and media agency vilifying the non-vaccers. But just take a step back and look at the big picture. The world is full of variation. That is the natural norm. Fruit flies are a great example of survival and natural variation; when you pick up a piece of rotting fruit, many fruit flies fly off but there is always a few that stay stuck to the fruit. Variation of response to change is what creates survival for the whole.

So back to covid – we should expect variations in reactions. There will always be some that rush to get vaccinated, some that will hesitate, and some that will not participate. This is a natural response.  Throw in radical thinking, American independence, and a distrust of the system and we have people who will not allow themselves to be injected with a ‘new’ type of vaccine. We shouldn’t vilify these people; we should just expect it and go on with our lives. If you are vaccinated, then don’t worry about what others are doing and if you are not vaccinated then good luck with your choice.

Yes, there is a variant, but we should also expect that. It is part of global warming coupled with a critical mass population - diseases will increase. This is the new norm and just the beginning of our problems. With climate change, those who survive this first wave of disease will just be faced with the food crisis and then rising oceans. So, the point is, save your breath about covid responses. People do what they do. Hate is ugly and not a hippie quality.
