FRANKENSTEIN G.O.P. AT LARGE

We shouldn’t be surprised by all we are seeing on the news. The sociological monster has been in the basement of our society since we started enslaving people and killing the natives in this country. Don’t think that by just freeing slaves and putting Native Americans on reservations it takes away the mentality of seeing people as lesser than equal. But that isn’t the half of it, the full picture of the mob-monster is to recognize the body pieces that have been sewn together to make the sociopathic monster.

Start with a torso and heart of a discontented, religious-right. Their world view is not being validated by the larger society. As time goes on, it is becoming less and less validated. They are waiting for Armageddon to wipe out all the non-believers, but it’s not coming soon enough. Now their children are not going to church and the word of Jesus is not taught in the schools. They see a crisis of their beliefs being questioned and the heart of the monster hardens into fundamentalism.

Now sew on the arms of racial bigots with the fingers pointing out to blame everyone that is not like them for all their problems. Valdamortrump was a great role model and icon for this type of mentality. Hate everyone and it’s everyone else’s fault that things are not going the way you want them to go. When the monster gets mad it goes on rampages through minority neighborhoods terrorizing the people and raping women.

Add the legs of the civil war rapped in the confederate flag. The stiff-legged gait walks briskly over the deep South and Midwest, stomping on voter stations and equality programs and mixing races, keeping the march of a dead war alive.

Now all we need is a flat head with bolts sticking out of the neck of white, undereducated, underemployed, isolated suburbanite to yell profanities and claim that everything has stollen from them their rights and everyone has been lying and cheating them out of their due.

Frankenstein, the inventor that has been building this monster, is the GOP platform. They recognized this unhappy voter base and chose to court them, and more than that, ‘educate’ them by producing many volumes of books, articles, and TV that promoted this monster mentality by intwining religion with capitalism and politics. The GOP dressed the Frankenstein monster in the American Flag and give it the right to live. It has been living in the basement of society being fed minorities for decades. Anyone who has brown skin has seen this monster, but white society has always claimed that it is just a figure of their imaginations. But now the Frankenstein monster has been let loose and it is storming the white house. Now we all can see that; yes indeed, we have a monster on our hands. The good news is that now it is out of hiding we can begin to deal with its destructive paradigm.
