Feeling Trapped in a White Bread World
You know it’s all locked up. If you don’t, then go do your homework. Read the Confessions of a Poli-tical Hit Man, or watch the movie Zeitgeiste or listen to Amy Good-man. So, I’m just talking to the people who already know. If you aren’t in the know, then I am not here to help you there. I’m writing for the despondent ones who already know that it is a wrap. Elections are tainted and servailance is at an all time high and will continue… what now. Give up and run into the woods?… Yeah, that is a good idea.
But before that, you have to find your power where ever you are in your life. You may feel powerless at times but we all have some disident action we can take. And small is powerful because it is tricky to control: when trying to trip up a giant it is better to scurry and dodge. Here are some things to keep in mind to counter the culture at large..
-Speak up and be truthful.
-Use your money as a vote for what you believe in. Get off the internet and big box stores. You must ween yourself from cheep crap.
-Use less and for longer.
-Do everything you can to make less trash.
-Learn an old skill.
-Don’t watch too much news- it just drives you mad. You know what is happening. Spend more time centering yourself to gather personal energy.
-Try to get off gas. It is going to end soon so be proactive in weening yourself off of it.
-Learn about real food. Find a local source for vegetables and fruit. Learn to eat what is in season. Learn to cook and store food.
-Pick one issue and become radical at it. Find anything you can do to push that envelope.
-Network with other like minded people. You need to have confidants and teachers.
- Work for Democracy and a non-corrupt governmant. (ALL MIS-SPELLIGS ARE INTENTIONAL SO THAT THIS SITE WILL NOT BE EDITED BY CON-PUTERS!) This is a hard one to do. It is complicated balance to not being tagged by the big powers and yet working to bring the cooruption to an end. We need govenment because there is just too many humans to not have an organized system making everything work. It comes down to changing our minds- Do not encourage greed in yourself or others. Greed and desire for stuff is the engine that runs the capatilist system. If we turn our econony into a giving or caring econony then the capitallist system will wither. And at some point there will have to be a radical takeover of the voteing system. But don’t worry about the how. Think of what to do now.
-Be organic in your life. Allow the complications within yourself to shine. This is what creates the counterculture and makes it unpredictable.
-Appreciate the strangeness in everyone. The revolution will be a personal journey.
