David Josiah Lawson was a young black student leader at HSU when he was attacked with bear mace and then stabbed while trying to leave a party on April 15th, 2017.

Between the lack of motivation of the police department and the Judicial system, his murderer was never tried. According to the DA, Maggie Fleming, a murder weapon and DNA evidence is not enough for a conviction. His mother, friends, and family are working to change the institutional racism in Arcata, CA. People are standing with them for the conviction of the killer of Josiah Lawson.

The reward is now 100,000$ for an eye witness from the party to testify. There will be a protest on the 15th of every month, in front of the Arcata City Hall. Not letting it be another death to be swept under the carpet is imperative to making our systems work for all, equally.
