Everybody has something to say about politics but being a hippie, you’ve got to have a solid rant, you know, with flailing arms.  Hippies are in touch with their feelings, so the injustices of the world, really gets our no-underwear in a bunch. You also have to have a healthy dose of suspicion of the organized evil behind the system. We are socially very sweet people (maybe too sweet), but we are politically critical. We eat up, Amy Goodman, State of the World Report and shun Fox-Disney news. We don’t want brain washing- we want real grit.

If you are not that smart or smoke too much dope, you can always just pick one specialty subject and whenever the conversation gets to that point, you can pull out your old trusty conspiracy theory and give it to em’.
